CardExchange — FAQ
What is CardExchange?
+CardExchange is an India-focused marketplace where users can list and buy gift cards. Sellers can submit listings (unverified by default) and admins manually verify cards before they appear in the Verified section.
How do I list my gift card?
+Go to “List your gift cards” and fill the form. Card number/PIN is optional — leaving it blank will place your listing in Unverified. Providing code and PIN helps speed up verification.
What details are required?
+Required: Brand, Asking price, WhatsApp number, Validity date, Screenshot. Card code and PIN are optional for listing but if entered they must follow brand-specific formats.
How does verification work?
+Admin reviews the submission, checks the screenshot and code (when provided), and confirms balance/validity. If valid, the listing becomes Verified and converts into a WooCommerce product for secure checkout.
How long does verification take?
+Usually within a few hours to 48 hours depending on submission quality and admin load. Clear screenshot + correct format reduces verification time.
How do buyers contact sellers?
+Unverified listings show a “Contact Seller” WhatsApp button that opens a chat with the seller. Verified listings show a “Buy” button that takes the buyer to the product checkout page.
How will sellers receive payment?
+For Verified sales, buyers pay through the WooCommerce checkout — funds go as per your configured payout flow. For Unverified deals buyers and sellers negotiate payment (UPI/WhatsApp) — CardExchange only facilitates listing.
Do you charge listing fees?
+Currently no listing fee. In future we may introduce platform commissions or premium/featured listing charges — any fees will be clearly mentioned on the site.
Which brands are supported?
+Supported brands include: Amazon, Flipkart, PhonePe, Myntra, Zomato, BigBasket, Nykaa, Ajio, BookMyShow, PVR, Inox, Dominos, KFC, Starbucks, Google Play, Zepto, Yatra, Tata Cliq Fashion, Lifestyle, Croma, Peter England, Pantaloons, FirstCry, Uber and more.
What card code formats do you accept?
+Most Indian brands: 16-digit code + 6-digit PIN. Amazon: 14–15 alphanumeric (no PIN). Google Play: 16 alphanumeric. Starbucks: 16-digit + 4/6 PIN. Exact format list is visible on the listing form.
Can I use part of a gift card?
+Yes. If you have a ₹10,000 gift card and buy for ₹5,000, the remaining ₹5,000 stays on the card/wallet per brand rules. Always check brand-specific wallet or balance policy.
What if a verified card is invalid?
+If you buy a card marked Verified and it turns out invalid, contact support with proof (screenshots, messages). Admin will assist in dispute resolution. Keep all proof handy — disputes require documentation.
Can I list international cards (PayPal, etc.)?
+Yes you may list international cards, but payout and settlement can be complex in India. We recommend India-usable cards for faster, safer payouts unless buyer and seller agree otherwise.
Is account creation required?
+Account is recommended for listing and buying. Some actions require users to register to prevent fraud and manage disputes easily.
How do you protect sensitive info?
+We store sensitive seller info (like PIN) in limited-access storage accessible only to admins for verification. We never publicly expose full sensitive details. Reports of misuse are investigated immediately.
How to speed up verification?
+Provide a clear screenshot, correct code and PIN (if available), exact validity date and an active WhatsApp number. These reduce admin back-and-forth and speed verification.
